Licensed Master Social Worker
With a wealth of experience as both a former teacher and learning specialist, I have transitioned into the role of a clinician, deeply committed to supporting children and families as they navigate a variety of challenges. In my therapeutic approach, I prioritize collaboration as a crucial element, and I’ve seen firsthand the incredible results it brings when schools, families, and service providers work together in treatment. As a result, I try to actively engage parents in our work, recognizing the vital role parents play in their child’s journey to well-being and success. This holistic approach ensures that children receive comprehensive support, both within and outside the therapy room.
With a focus on evidence-based treatments, my approach is all about tailoring treatment to each child and their family, ensuring their unique needs are at the forefront of our care. Working with a wide range of ages, from five to eighteen, I place a strong emphasis on understanding and addressing developmental milestones. Using diverse therapeutic methods, I aim to give children practical skills to empower them in both their academic and personal lives.
My expertise includes training in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), interventions for OCD, and evidenced-based treatments for trauma and stress related disorders. Additionally, I am a clinician working with Milestones Adversity and Resilience Center (ARC) to offer both prevention and early intervention services for children and families who have been exposed to stress, trauma, or adversity.
My personable and nurturing demeanor creates an environment where children can feel heard and supported. Within this warm and encouraging atmosphere, I strongly believe in fostering a strengths- based perspective, helping children recognize their own abilities and resilience, so they can confidently face the obstacles ahead and achieve their full potential.
